The number of referring individual domains linking to your website or webpage is a very important factor in Google’s algorithm. The two biggest algorithm changes that Google released to ward off the abuse of link building included the Panda and Penguin updates, which came out in 2011 and 2012, respectively (and received regular updates ever since). In your SEO audit, a quick check for Panda would be to step back from your computer screen and look at your website. Is there a surplus of banners? Redirect chains are not to be confused with redirect loops, which is where URL A redirects to URL B then URL B redirects back to URL A. See what keywords are most popular in each country you’re targeting, and optimise the pages on that country’s section of your website accordingly. Also, remember that even a correct and accurate translation of a keyword or term may not be what people actually use to search for a product or service locally.
